For Mother's Day I made my mom, sister, mother-in-law, and sister-in law some of the sprocket pillows. I just really love them and they turn out so fun. My mom and sister-in-law both received the purple version.
I made a blue and green one for my sister, but I don't have a picture of it. Time has gotten away from me lately. It is the end of the school year and it always seems this time of year I am just hanging on, trying to make it to the end before summer. So when it was time to give her the pillow, I plum forgot to get a pic. Oh well.
I struggled with the color scheme for my mother-in-law. Her home has a lot of tan in it and I kept wanting something bright and vibrant, but when I went to a local quilt shop I saw all these lovely tans and knew were the right choices for her.
My kid couldn't love these pillows more. The first set I did for myself he plays with ALL the time. They have yet to stay on the bed for more than 5 minutes. So we dove into my stash of fabric, most of these were made into horses at one time, and found some fun boy fabric. He likes this pillow, but not surprisingly, he really likes the blue and red flower pillows better. He is a kid who likes bright colors and cares little if something is meant for a girl or boy.
I added this last pic because I just thought it was cute with the pillow and the ever sleeping cat. Apparently we bought this chair just for her. Aren't we nice?
The original idea for these pillows came from cluckclucksew.com
